Physical Therapy is an integral part of health care devoted to treating and preventing injury and physical disabilities. At Core Strength PT, after a comprehensive evaluation of a patient’s physical status, one-on-one treatments are geared towards any combination of relieving pain and discomfort, regaining movement, restoring function, rebuilding strength and stability and training patients to adapt to permanent physical changes. Treatments can be customized for a broad range of fitness and ability levels, from rehab patient to elite athletes.

As a therapist owned practice, Core Strength Physical Therapy introduces its founder, SHARA ARNOFSKY, MSPT.  Shara is a 1997 cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering where she majored in Bioengineering and minored in Psychology. These subjects gave her a solid foundation in science and developed powerful methods for understanding basic physiological processes. In school, Shara played soccer while studying earnestly towards her degree. The combination wreaked havoc on her ankles and neck, and her subsequent involvement with physical therapy inspired her to pursue a graduate degree in PT. In 1999 Shara graduated from the University of  Miami’s School of Medicine with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She is a licensed Physical Therapist, and the highlights of her advanced training include certification in the Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation Series, and instruction to prepare orthotic devices for lower extremity care.

Utilization of traditional methods supplemented by Pilates-based methods are integral in Shara’s practice as a Therapist. She practices in both a clinical setting and privately, at clients’ homes, teaching movement and postural reeducation with a comprehensive core and joint stabilization program. Shara is dedicated to helping others gain better control of movement in a functional and pain free way in order to be physically functional and fit.

After a patient has attained his goals and is discharged from Core Strength, activities are recommended so that fitness can be maintained. Shara’s association with Speedball Fitness has led her to suggest this program to her clients. Created by Steve Feinberg, the program’s mission, like Shara’s, is to stimulate and inspire the mind and body so that individuals become more functional and longer-lasting human beings.
